Six Sigma Black Belt Certification: Evaluation Process

  • The Required Submission Information will be reviewed by a Lockheed Martin instructor to determine if the Certification requirements have been met
  • The Program Instructor will contact the applicant for a brief (15 minute) phone interview, once per project, to discuss the projects and the results
  • The Program Instructor will contact the applicants Sponsor for a brief (15 minute) phone interview, once per project, to discuss the applicants role in the projects
  • The Program Instructor will then make a formal determination for Black Belt Certification

Certification Denial: The Lockheed Martin instructor will make the final determination of whether the applicant has satisfactorily met the criteria for Certification. Any deficiencies will be documented in writing and will be sent as feedback to the applicant. The applicant may choose to address the deficiencies and respond, in writing, within 30 days. Certification may then be awarded if all the deficiencies are met. However, should the second submission still prove deficient, the applicant will be required to re-apply for Certification and pay the application fee again if they desire Certification.

Certification: Once your submission information has been favorably reviewed and phone interviews have been satisfied by the Program Instructor, applicants will be mailed a “Black Belt Certification”, endorsed by Rutgers University/Camden, NJ and Lockheed Martin/Moorestown, NJ.
